We can certainly agree that nurses are an integral part of healthcare!
In our home here at Presidential Oaks, we embrace a commitment to compassionate care. We are committed to being the Health Care community of choice where the continuum of care can be provided in an environment of compassion, dignity, and respect. Nicole embraces these values in her approach to nursing care and then some!
She finds purpose in serving this community, and for her, being able to embrace caring for someone is more than just addressing health related issues. It is about seeing the whole person and providing an empathetic approach to managing their care from health and wellness to comfort and adjusting to life in a skilled nursing facility. Nicole is the Interim Director of Nursing at Presidential Oaks and has more than a decade of experience in skilled nursing. She manages the wonderful team of skilled nurses and caregivers which is a big task that is not without it’s challenges . . .
Regarding working in nursing care, Nicole says “Burnout is real and it’s important to find ways to acknowledge that people have things going on beneath the surface while they take care of others. I try to find ways to acknowledge and support nurses who are experiencing it. I want to create a sense of openness with one another. It makes us feel seen.”
Creating an environment where our nursing professionals is vital. Nicole is doing a wonderful job of bringing people together and she is an amazing asset to this community. Nurses are amazing! They are the backbone of how we are able to care for our residents. Supporting them is important beyond measure!
